Charlotte Todd - Director
  Char grew up on a farm a mile from the church and has been a member of OSLC all her life! She has served in many capacities at OLSC including church council, Sunday school teacher and superintendent, librarian, church secretary, and numerous committees.

She attended Augsburg College and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Home Economics and Early Childhood Education.

Char joined the staff of Noah's Ark in 1976 and became its director in 1978.  She says, "I LOVE working with the children and their families and have made many long-lasting friendships over the years."

Char and husband Bruce have 6 children.  Her favorite free time activity is spending time with her 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson (NOT all at one time) and vacationing by the ocean or Disneyworld.  Her goal for the future is to find time to use the closet full of quilting and scrap booking supplies she has collected over the years!
Jennifer Woehlre - Teacher

Jennifer Woehrle is a wife and the mother of three extraordinary children. She has 12 year old twin boys and a 9 year old daughter all of whom graduated from Noah’s Ark and now attend schools in the Centennial School District. She and her family are members of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and have lived the area for 14 years.

Jennifer has a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Metropolitan State University. In addition to focusing on early childhood, a great deal of her classes were in Special Education. She has also studied Spanish and American Sign Language.

She comes to Noah’s Ark with more than 20 years of experience working with young children. For the past 4 years, she has been working in the Moundsview School District providing educational and behavioral support for children who were on the Autism Spectrum, deaf or hard of hearing, and students who struggled with emotional or behavioral needs. She also has experience supporting students with brain injuries, asthma, and food allergies. Personally, she has navigated the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment process as her twins both have a complicated medical history as well as an Autism diagnosis.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys reading, hiking, kayaking, attending musicals, and trying new restaurants.

Michelle Hoover - Teacher

Michelle grew up in Roseville and received her Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire.

She taught piano for many years.  She and her husband, Bob, live in Blaine with their children Katelyn and Matthew and puppy Cooper.

Both Katelyn and Matthew attended Noah’s Ark, which lead Michelle to her career as a teacher at Noah’s Ark.

Michelle’s hobbies include spending time with her children, family, attending Twins games, trips to Wisconsin, and walks during ‘nice’ weather.

Heidi May - Teacher

Heidi has been an Early Childhood Teacher since 2004 and a teacher on the staff at Noah’s Ark since August 2012. 

Heidi says it was God that led her to Noah’s Ark and is honored to be a part of a Christ centered preschool and an amazing group of women (and boys) that share her same passion for children.

Heidi studied Early Childhood Development at Rasmussen College and continues to take classes in the field of Early Childhood Education.

Heidi has 3 young girls; Adeline, Elyse, and Taylor, and her baby boy Connor.  Heidi enjoys Bible studies, being in church productions at North Heights, water parks, amusement parks, boat rides, tubing, fishing, and being with her children at the cabin in Park Rapids.

Joy Rauner - Teacher

Joy is the lead teacher in the 3 year old class. Joy is passionate about her job and her love of children. She considers it a privilege and an honor to serve families in the community. 

Joy has been teaching at Noah’s Ark for 29 years and continues to love her days here.  Joy studied the field of child development at Century College and St. Paul Technical College and continues to take classes in the field of early childhood education.

Joy lives in Circle Pines with her husband, Jim. She has three grown children, 2 sons, and 1 daughter and is a very proud grandparent of 2 beautiful granddaughters, Abigail and Meredith. Her favorite activity is spending time with them and her family. She also enjoys reading, gardening, biking, and spending time at the family cabin in Brule, WI. 

Kathy Peterson - Teacher

Kathy has been a teacher at Noah’s Ark since 1997.  She currently is the lead teacher in the older 3s/younger 4s class. She and husband, Tim, have 3 adult sons, Zach, Ben, and Quin; all who attended Noah’s Ark, and Bailey, the dog!

Kathy received her BA in Early Childhood Studies in 2016. She also has a Child Development Associate degree through St. Paul College.

In her spare time Kathy enjoys working out and watching sporting events, especially her son’s basketball games.

Kathy says, “I feel very lucky to have work that I enjoy so much.  Every day is a new adventure!”

Kelli Hervey - Teacher

Kelli was introduced to Noah’s Ark when she completed an internship for a child development class by shadowing Joy Rauner and Michelle Hoover in our 3 year old classroom.  Following the internship she joined the staff of Noah’s Ark.

Kelli has a two year degree from the University of Minnesota and has taken child development classes at Minneapolis Technical college.  Kelli also speaks Spanish.

Kelli is married to hubby, Adam.  They have two children,  Easton (5), and Sophie (3).

In her spare time Kelli enjoys spending time with her family.

Nancy Hernandez - Assistant Teacher

Nancy joined Noah’s Ark in 2011 assisting in our class for Spanish speaking children and children interested in learning Spanish.  She joined us full time in September 2012 and is a great asset to our staff.

Nancy and her husband have 3 young daughters.

Nancy is currently completing her education for her Teacher Licensure.

Peggy Kostohryz - Food Manager/Aide

Peggy Kostohryz has been teaching at Noah’s Ark since 1999 and currently serves as our food manager making sure our meals and snacks meet strict federal guidelines. 

As a member of Our Saviors for over 30 years, Peggy was a Youth Club Coordinator and taught Sunday School for 12 years.  Prior to joining the Noah’s Ark Staff,  Peg held positions in management and bookkeeping and was a Sr. Pharmacy Tech for Walgreens.

Peggy keeps up on the current practices in Early Childhood Education by attending many conferences and trainings in the subject.

Peggy and husband, Peter, have been married for over 40 years and have raised 5 beautiful children, Rachel, Rebecca, Scott, Elizabeth, and Donald.  They now have 14 wonderful grandchildren and greatly enjoy each of them!

When not at Noah’s Ark or taking care of grandkids Peg enjoys reading, meeting friends for lunch, and going to the cabin in Spooner, Wisconsin.

Ben Peterson -Aide

Ben has assisted in the preschool classrooms for 4 years.

A former Noah’s Ark Alumni, Ben spent a year attending college at Saint Cloud University and is now attending Century College pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. 

Ben interest in education is genetic.  He is the son of one of our teachers, Kathy Peterson, both of his maternal grandparents were teachers, and his aunt also taught at Noah's Ark.  He enjoys watching and participating in most sports!

Quin Peterson -Aide

Quin has assisted in the preschool classrooms for 2 years.

Also a former Noah’s Ark Alumni, Quin also spent a year attending college at Valley City North Dakota on a basketball scholarship (yes, he is very tall!) and is also pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. 

Since he is another son of Kathy Peterson, his interest in education is genetic.  Both of his maternal grandparents were teachers, and his aunt also is a teacher!  And, of course, he enjoys watching and participating in most sports!

Jackson Budach -Aide

Jackson has assisted in the preschool classrooms for the past 3 years.

Jackson has been a freshman football coach at Coon Rapids High School for the last two years.
